1. Monthly: Credit Card or bank draft information must be placed on file (click on DTTA Parent Portal Login above).  Monthly charges will be processed at the beginning of each month starting in September.  At the time of registration, your account will be charged a yearly one-time $25 set-up fee and costume/supply deposit (if any). These charges will complete the registration process.  


 2. Semi-annually: First payment due upon registration and 2nd payment due February. Credit card or bank draft information must be placed on file (click on DTTA Parent Portal Login above). Our accounting dept. will adjust the tuition and apply the payment.  Account will be charged ½ the tuition plus the costume/supply deposit (if any).  This will complete the registration process. 


3. Annually:  Full tuition paid upon registration.


Credit cards accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Discover. 

Paying by Check? Please make checks payable to "Door to the Arts." Checks may be left  in a sealed envelope labeled "Door to the Arts" at the school office.  (Subject to $35 processing fee for NSF checks and credit card declines.) Checks accepted only for semi-annual or full year payment.  Monthly payments must use the automated withdrawal system.


Registration is not complete until credit card/bank draft information is left in your account or a check is received by DTTA. Classes are not secured until registration is complete.

NONFUNDABLE: All monthly set-up fees, costume and supply fees are non-refundable. 

LATE FEE: $15 late fee for tuition received 30 days after due date.

WITHDRAWAL:  Partial refunds on a case by case basis.   Written request via email must sent to our account manager. 

REFUNDS / DEPOSIT RETURNS:  Please submit written request to our account manager.  Allow 2 weeks to process any refunds.

ANADEL ALBERTI is an instructor I AM EQUILIBRIUM. She has over 10 years of experience practicing and teaching yoga. Ms. Alberti is certified as a 200-RYT in Hatha Yoga and Karma Kids’ Yoga, one of the top Kids yoga schools that encourages ‘play’ yoga time. Ms. Alberti also holds a Masters Degree in International Business from the University of Miami, a Double Major in Marketing Communications and International Business from Manhattanville College, NY and owns a photography business specializing in children photography.


ANA MARIA PATINO-FERNANDEZ is an instructor for I AM EQUILIBRIUM and a Florida licensed psychologist (PY7441) in independent practice. She specializes in child and adolescent behavioral health. She has more than 10 years of experience providing behavioral health consultations to youth and their families to better improve their lifestyle, health, and wellness. Dr. Patiño-Fernández has also worked at Children’s Hospital Boston, an affiliate of Harvard University Medical School, as faculty at the UM Miller School of Medicine, with children with diabetes and obesity and their families, and has published numerous manuscripts and presented locally, nationally, and internationally. She is also on the editorial board for the journal Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology. Mother of two beautiful children.

BEATRIZ CALDERON is a Visual Arts instructor for Door to the Arts. Her passion and ability for utilizing all kinds of hardware tools (inherited from her dad that is an engineer) along with her problem solving skills let her visualize projects and know exactly which materials or tools are needed in the process. She earned her BFA from Universidad de los Andes, Bogota Colombia with a minor in Modern Languages. She also furthered her study by earning a Diploma in Residential Design, from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale, USA, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has won first prize several times with art installations and art assemblage, in Bogota, Colombia. Because of her passion for installations, her creative skills and great imagination, added to excellent space planning skills she was invited to participate as Installation director by "Emporio dei Giovani's" Fashion's Night Out in 2012. Having a special passion for teaching, she has been high school and middle school Art teacher and one-on-one freelance art instructor and coach, specialized in Art Portfolios. Was chosen to be TA of many of her Art professors in college. Courageous Survivor of Cancer, she acted twice as Chairperson for the American Cancer Society's Relay for life at Key Biscayne, FL in 2012 & 2013.Many of her works are in private collections in several countries such as USA, Colombia, Italy, France, Belgium and Spain.


BRANDI OGLESBY is dance and musical theater instructor for Door to the Arts. Dancing since she was 3 years old, it is her love, passion and career. For the last 15 years she lived in Los Angeles working professionally and traveling all over the world.  She has worked with artists such as Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Britney Spears and Pink. She continues to collaborate with professional artists while working for Door to the Arts. Brandi also teaches dance at The Living Dolls Dance factory in Coral Gables.


GABRIEL ARTIME, is a DJ/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who teaches guitar, piano and percussions for Door to the Arts. Born and raised in Miami, Gabriel has been DJing and playing music in Miami for the last 17 years. He has a music degree from Miami Dade College with a concentration in music education. He has performed locally and toured with artists all over the US and Europe. He currently plays and performs at venues like Bardot, Soho Beach House, and many others. He is also in the process of forming his own band. He enjoys watching children develop a love of music by teaching them contemporary music and studying classical artists.


GILBERTO LUNA is an Official Chess Expert who teaches Chess for Door To The Arts. In 2012 he was awarded the "Coach of the Year" award for the State of Florida by the Commissioner of the Florida Scholastic Chess League. Mr. Luna has extensive chess expertise, having been a two-time National Championship Team Member in 1998 and 2008, a two-time Miami-Dade County Champion, and a five-time Florida All-Star Team Member. He has been teaching in both the Public and Private school system since the year 2000. He was the District Chess Trainer for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for four years. He has been the After-School Chess Teacher at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School; a Chess Teacher at John Ferguson High School; the Mind Lab/Chess Teacher at Beacon Hill Prep School; and the Professional Chess Trainer at Divine Savior Academy since 2010, making DSA's chess team currently one of the strongest chess teams in the nation, and Regional Co-Champions. He has been a Chess Adjunct Professor at Barry University and the Program Director at the World Chess Hall of Fame and Sidney Samole Chess Museum for five years. He is the Former Vice-President of the Florida Chess Association, he has been the former Commissioner of The Florida Scholastic Chess League, a Delegate to the United States Chess Federation, and the United States Chess Federation Tournament Director.


IVY LEDON, is a dance instructor for Door to the Arts. She has more than 10 years of experience as a dancer, and over 8 years as a teacher.  Ivy is a Miami native, greatly influenced by the teachings of Danie Beck’s Dance Unlimited where she beautifully developed into a skilled dancer as part of the Ensemble cast in 2002, and was then selected as part of the 9 elite dancers in the beginnings of the Focal Pointe Dance Company. She was introduced to the various aspects of dance by the teachings of South Miami Middle Magnet Dance Program and her Alma Matter-New World School of the Arts High School, where she had the privilege to study with some of the most respected instructors in the nation. She has performed in numerous competitions and has even been awarded top ten overall at a few, Hollywood Connection’s Icon for 2004-2005, and her most prestigious award of “Highest Overall score”. She was also part of the “2004 Disney’s Christmas Parade Tour”; featured on local TV shows including “Sabado Gigante” and “Dimelo Bailando” "Mun2", chosen as a background dancer in 2005 for “Juan Luis Guerra and Gilberto Santa Rosa’s Concert”, some selected appearances with Pitbull and DJ Laz in 2008, and in 2012 with new upcoming Artist “Lady M”. In 2006, Miss Ivy was selected to participate at the National Dance Festival in Philadelphia, and was chosen by Daniel Lewis to participate in the “Choreographer’s Summer Dance Stages” internship in Concord, Massachusetts. She has also had the privilege of traveling the nation with “New Century Dance Company” and being an instructor at the Akoya Dance Intensive. In 2007, she was selected to audition for the National Endowment for the Arts Scholarship program at Julliard. Ivy is now a proud member of the “Tae Talent Agency” and a staff member at ADA (American Dance Alliance). She also coached “The Charmers”, the South Miami High’s Dance team from 2009-2011 and is the permanent Jazz, Tap, Acro and Contemporary teacher at 4 Dance Studio’s.  She is currently pursuing her studies at the University of Miami.



LIUBA ROJAS is a voice, music, piano instructor and a conversational Spanish teacher for Door to the Arts. She has studied music since she was 10 years old and holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts majoring in Music Education and specializing in Choral Conducting from Cuba. She started performing as a singer in the Son Melao Band in Varadero until 2007 when she came to Miami.  She was also an instructor for the Canta y Baila Conmigo (Music Together) program for children. She  has since created Musica and Do (www.musicaanddo.com), a new bilingual (English & Spanish) music and movement program for kids.


MATHIEU GOMEZ is a Robotics instructor for Door to the Arts. He is currently attending UCF, majoring in Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering. In addition, Mathieu has earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout and has developed a gift for teaching and working with young students.  He was a Mas Scholar and member of the National Honor Society at Christopher Columbus High School and has participated in robotics, engineering and aerospace programs at school.
