ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE PROCESSED BY OUR ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT.  PARENTS CANNOT MAKE A PAYMENT IN THE SYSTEM.  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD OR BANK DRAFT INFORMATION IN YOUR ACCOUNT TO  COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION.   SEE BELOW FOR CHECK INFO.

PAYMENT OPTIONS 

 

1. Monthly: Credit Card or bank draft information must be placed on file (click on DTTA Parent Portal Login above).  Monthly charges will be processed at the beginning of each month starting in September.  At the time of registration, your account will be charged a yearly one-time $25 set-up fee and costume/supply deposit (if any). These charges will complete the registration process.  

 

 2. Semi-annually: First payment due upon registration and 2nd payment due February. Credit card or bank draft information must be placed on file (click on DTTA Parent Portal Login above). Our accounting dept. will adjust the tuition and apply the payment.  Account will be charged ½ the tuition plus the costume/supply deposit (if any).  This will complete the registration process. 

 

3. Annually:  Full tuition paid upon registration.

 

Credit cards accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Discover. 

Paying by Check? Please make checks payable to "Door to the Arts." Checks may be left  in a sealed envelope labeled "Door to the Arts" at the school office.  (Subject to $35 processing fee for NSF checks and credit card declines.) Checks accepted only for semi-annual or full year payment.  Monthly payments must use the automated withdrawal system.

NO CASH PAYMENTS

Registration is not complete until credit card/bank draft information is left in your account or a check is received by DTTA. Classes are not secured until registration is complete.

NONFUNDABLE: All monthly set-up fees, costume and supply fees are non-refundable. 

LATE FEE: $15 late fee for tuition received 30 days after due date.

WITHDRAWAL:  Partial refunds on a case by case basis.   Written request via email must sent to our account manager. 

REFUNDS / DEPOSIT RETURNS:  Please submit written request to our account manager.  Allow 2 weeks to process any refunds.

Meet OUR TEACHERS

MAURICIO VELEZ

MAURICIO VELEZ is a Robotics instructor for Door to the Arts.  Mauricio is currently pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at Florida International University. He has won numerous in the designing field including Designing for the Future Worldwide competition and Design Miami. His experience with children stems from participating in the 5000 Role Models of America club to an after school care mentor. He mentored students in education, health and social relations. As a designer and  creator, he hopes to one day create innovative products for the market. 

MICHELLE M. SALOM

MICHELLE M. SALOM is an experienced dance, ballet, creative movement, and drama teacher for Door to the Arts. As a Creative Arts teacher she has taught various types of classes in the arts to children including Ballet, Creative Movement, Fitness, and Music Together since 2008. Ms. Salom has a Health and Fitness Specialist Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine as well as a Personal Training Certification from the Aerobics Fitness Association of America in addition to her Bachelor in Science from Florida International University majoring in Advertising with a concentration in Sociology. Ms. Salom is also a Personal Trainer that provides quality fitness classes for families within the local community, specializing in developing various quality fitness classes for moms with babies and children. Ms. Salom has experience in various courses such as Exercise Physiology, Exercise & Pregnancy, Slide Reebox, Step, Mat Pilates, Basic Nutrition, Ball Stabilization, Yoga, Weight Training, Kickboxing, Stretch, Perinatal Fitness, Functional Training, Senior Fitness and is a Health and Fitness Director (ACSM)

RHEA DUMMETT

RHEA DUMMETT is a drama and musical theater teacher for Door To The Arts. She is a Vocal Coach, Recording and Touring Artist as well as a Music Teacher with concentrations in music and movement programs for children. Since earning her Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music B.M. in the year 2000, she has focused on singing, performance, songwriting and the music business. She has extensive music experience teaching, recording, touring the world and performing.

SARAH ATTIAS

SARAH ATTIAS is piano and keyboard instructor for Door to the Arts. She is a musician, composer and Miami native. She attended Miami Dade College and graduated with an associate’s degree in jazz performance. Sarah has been playing music professionally throughout south Florida for almost a decade. She is passionate about her craft and takes pleasure in sharing her knowledge with others.

SUSANA FOX

SUSANA FOX is an accomplished teacher and actress who teaches Conversational Spanish as well as Drama and Musical Theater for Door To The Arts. She has acting credentials ranging from theater groups, film shorts, music videos to soap operas and television commercials for the past fifteen years. She is also a teacher with music, movement and Spanish language experience with a core competency in early childhood development. Ms. Fox is a certified Montessori Teacher as well as being certified in the Music Together Training Program. Her engaging teaching style empowers children through participation, presentation and developing strong leadership skills.

VANESSA DIAZ

VANESSA DIAZ is a dance and musical theater instructor for Door to the Arts. Vanessa is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree  in Early Childhood Education. She has been dancing since she was 8 years old and was part of the Performing Arts Academy throughout her tenure in high school and choreographed several numbers for her dance team as well.  Vanessa is the lead choreographer for "In His Steps" dance ministry for her church "Espiritu Santo y Fuego". She has also worked as an assistant teacher for "Dance Works of Miami"  teaching children of all ages.  Her specialty entails choreographing ballet, lyrical and hiphop numbers for several different community events. She loves working with children & encouraging them to keep the love for dance alive! Sharing her passion with others is a dream come true & she hopes to make a difference in each and everyone of the kids lives!

VIRGINIA FERRARA

VIRGINIA FERRARA is a Visual Arts instructor for Door to the Arts. She is also a full time Miami based artist with a Bacholors in Fine Arts from Western, Michigan University and a Masters in Fine Arts in painting from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Her work  focuses on the moment in transition and tends to be figurative by nature. Form , vibrant color and motion capturing the energies of the moment are consistent focuses inherent in her work.  She’s been in many exhibitions as well as having been commissioned to produce artwork for five of Carnival Cruise Lines’s ships.  Her recent dance series has been inspired by her own passion for dance.  An overview of her work can be found on www.virginiaferrara.com or www.latindancedesigns.com.
